THE FIRST
CAT IN
CRYPTO.

Before the dogs. Before the frogs. There was Sirius.

In 2009, Satoshi's right-hand dev "sirius" logged into Bitcoin's earliest forum with a ginger cat as his avatar. That cat has been sitting on the blockchain's origin story for 15 years. It's his turn now.

The Real Lore

Not a made-up mascot.
An actual piece of Bitcoin history.

"Sirius" was the handle of Martti Malmi — the Finnish developer who became Satoshi Nakamoto's closest early collaborator. He built bitcoin.org, wrote the first FAQ, ran a node 24/7, and did one of the first-ever BTC→USD trades.

And on the earliest Bitcoin forum, his profile picture was a ginger cat. Registered November 20, 2009. Sr. Member. 992 merit. Sitting there this whole time while the rest of crypto invented its animals from scratch.

Dogecoin: 2013. Pepe: 2023. Sirius the cat: 2009.

$SIRIUS isn't inventing a story — it's minting one that was already true. The first cat in crypto finally gets his coin.

The Satoshi Connection

Satoshi asked Sirius
for a website and a FAQ.

It's right there in the released 2009 emails. Satoshi admitted writing wasn't his strong suit and handed the job to the cat's owner: build the site, and write a FAQ. Sirius said yes and started that same day.

15 years later, we finished the assignment. A website — you're on it. And a FAQ — scroll down. Run by the cat, exactly as ordered.

Fun fact: the word "cryptocurrency" was first floated in this very email thread. The cat was in the room when the word was born.

The Assignment, Delivered

The FAQ Satoshi asked for.

In 2009, Sirius wrote Bitcoin's first FAQ because Satoshi asked him to. It opened with "What is bitcoin?" — so this one opens the same way, one number at a time. Same job. New cat.

A community meme token honoring the first cat in crypto — the ginger cat that sat as the forum avatar of "sirius" back in 2009, at the very start of Bitcoin. The coin is the tribute. The cat is the point.

Sirius was the handle of Martti Malmi, Satoshi Nakamoto's earliest collaborator. He built bitcoin.org, ran a node 24/7, and — when Satoshi asked — wrote the very first Bitcoin FAQ. His profile picture was a cat.

His forum account is dated November 20, 2009 — Sr. Member, 992 merit. That's years before Dogecoin (2013) and every other crypto animal that followed. The cat was on the origin story the whole time.

Yes — it's in the released 2009 emails. Satoshi wrote that writing wasn't his strong suit and asked Sirius to build the site and write a FAQ. So we finished the assignment 15 years late, in the cat's name.

Genuine early-Bitcoin forum profile. The cat was always there.

This is the actual profile the meme comes from — an OG account from the first weeks of Bitcoin's community, with a cat where the face should be.

No Photoshop. No retrofit. $SIRIUS just points at what was already history and says: that's the one.
